Kahlia and Kurt
On their 4th anniversary, Kurt proposed on bended knee whilst celebrating with a picnic in Kings Park. Being so nervous he presented Kahlia with the empty lid of the ring box rather than the ring itself. Thankfully this wasn’t a sign of things to come when it came to their very special day at Sitella Winery in the Swan Valley.
As Kahlia arrived she could see Kurt and his accompanying groomsmen patiently waiting for her and her heart began to race with anticipation.
Kahlia’s main concern was making it down the steep hill to the waiting Kurt, but she needn’t have worried as she gracefully maneuvered the slope whilst not taking her eyes off her husband to be. Kurt likewise only had eyes for Kahlia.
After trying on quite a few dresses over a two day search Kahlia new her dress was the one when she put it on and so did her Mum and bridesmaids. With it’s simple style and intricate lace design on the back Kahlia instantly felt comfortable.
With their special day going off without any hiccups, Kahlia has a few pieces of advise to anyone in the planning stage of their wedding. Firstly, Don’t leave everything until the last minute, do as much as possible with plenty of time to spare and Secondly, work together and communicate, after all the day is about BOTH of you.
On a rather cool day for September, the bridal party came prepared with warm blankets to wrap up in between photos and a well stocked esky full of refreshments. This Bridal party had a great rapport having met each other prior to the wedding which helped make the post ceremony photos relaxed and enjoyable.
One of Kurt’s favourite moments was when they were announced at the reception as Mr & Mrs to ACDC’s Thundrstruck before enjoying a 3 course sit down meal and to celebrate with family and friends.
“All my roads lead me back to you”
You and me by Lifehouse was the music of choice for their first dance as Husband and Wife after which they relaxed and enjoyed their evening with their guests.
