Sonja and John met 3 years ago and on a romantic picnic on their farm John popped the question. Of course Sonja said yes!
The pair chose not to see each other on the eve of their wedding and instead wait until the ceremony on their special day at a small church nearby the family farm, where John had been christened as a baby.
After fitting what felt like a hundred dresses Sonja finally found “the one” she fell in love but finding out she was pregnant with twins meant the dress needed to be reconsidered. Fitting a few more she eventually found the dress that would become her dream wedding dress. Although this was not without it’s own dramas, as the day approached the bump grew, big but thanks to the ladies at Pearl’s they made sure the dress fitted Sonja’s bump.
The day was full of love and laughter, young and old all sharing in their special day.
The bride and groom celebrated with friends and family at the farm, where they both enjoyed their reception in the shearing shed complete with catering by Caviar Catering.
A couple of suggestions from the Bride would be to make sure you have your phot0 list prepared ahead of time, ensuring everyone is aware of their commitments. Also, don’t sweat the small stuff and try not to get overwhelmed, the guests won’t know what you have planned so it doesn’t quite come off the way you wanted it then don’t stress.
Love is not about how much you say “I love you”, but how much you can prove it’s true.
During the reception John and Sonja decided to share the gender of their twins with everyone in attendance. One girl and one boy, one of each, what a joyous outcome.
